I was so grateful to be asked to photograph the wedding of Sasha and Andrew. We've known each other for years through family and friends, so it was an honour to be chosen as the one to capture some of the most precious photographs of their lives.
Sasha was a very calm and collected bride. I arrived to her steaming bridesmaids dresses while her wedding party were pampered by hair and makeup. The kids were loading themselves up on sugar, ensuring they had enough energy for the day ahead, and the sun was shining. It couldn't have been a more perfect morning.
The wedding itself was held outside at the Best Western Corby, and after a summer of washouts, someone was looking down on Sasha and Andrew as they tied the knot it glorious sun. The guests were even having to create make shift fans which made a difference from the umbrellas they'd been using most of the summer season.
There were smiles all round and it was clear to see just how much Andrew adores his new wife. They were beaming throughout the entire ceremony!
Standout events provided a gorgeous white bouncy castle for the kids (and adults!) to burn some energy which was a huge hit. After a lovely couple of hours in the sun, everyone headed in for the speeches, food, a few carpark shots and finished the night with some proper dancing. It has to be the first time I've ever witnessed the groom do his first dance in a pair of crocs, but they were marginally better than the bridesmaids slippers he was wearing just a few minutes before!
Another beautiful wedding at the Best Western Corby for 2024. What a summer it's been! We wish Sasha and Andrew a life full of love and happiness.
